Fuel iX Copilots — Week 24 · June 15–21
This week brought a solid mix of new features and quality-of-life improvements. The highlights include a huge improvement on generation, viewing and downloading AI-generated files, a refreshed tools management experience, and several fixes that smooth out everyday interactions with copilots and knowledge bases.
- Improved file generation in chat: When a copilot generates a file during a conversation, you'll now see a rich download card directly in the chat — making it much easier to find, preview, and download files your copilot produces. This is a significant upgrade to the file generation experience, with a cleaner, more capable interface for working with generated files right inside the conversation.
-
More file types available for download from Prisms: Prisms now support downloading a wider range of file types, including DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, CSV, and images. Previously only PDFs and a limited set of formats were available.
-
Redesigned Tools list in Copilot Advanced Settings: The Tools section in a copilot's Advanced Settings has been rebuilt as a clean vertical list with toggles, "Enabled/Disabled" status labels, and a live count of active tools — making it faster and easier to review and manage tool configurations at a glance.
-
Redesigned chat composer (preview): A rebuilt chat input experience is available as a preview, featuring improved accessibility, better voice input error messages in all supported languages, and a cleaner expanded editor.
-
Copilot profile picture no longer clears on edit: Updating a copilot's name or description no longer accidentally removes its profile picture.
-
Copilot edit state now saves correctly after creation: After clicking "Save → Continue editing" on a newly created copilot, subsequent saves now correctly update the existing entry rather than treating each save as a new operation.
-
Call Copilot tile now appears in the About section: When Call Copilot is enabled on a custom copilot, the corresponding tile now shows up in the About section as expected.
-
Knowledge Base access errors resolved: Fixed an issue where knowledge bases created via the API or older existing entries could fail to load due to a missing internal field. Access now works reliably across all knowledge base types.
-
Improved reliability of rule-based workflows: Fixed an issue where rules could fail or behave unexpectedly when checking for certain conditions, making rule-based copilot workflows more dependable.
