Admin Pages: Manage Users

The Manage Users page allows organization administrators to view, add, edit, and manage user accounts within their Fuel iX organization.

Manage Users Page Overview

  • Located under: Settings > Manage Users
  • Accessible to: Organization Admins only
  • Purpose: Comprehensive user management for the organization

User List

Features

  • Sortable columns: Email, Display Name, Budget, Role, Status, API Key
  • Pagination: 25 users per page
  • Search functionality to filter users

User Status Types

  • Active: User has logged in and activated their account
  • Invited: Admin has created the account, but the user hasn't accepted the invitation yet
🚧

Note: Users are identified primarily by their email address. An email address can only be associated with one user in one organization across the entire Fuel iX platform.

Adding a New User

  1. Click the "Add user" button
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Name (Display Name)
    • Email
    • Budget (recommended default: 10)
    • Role (Viewer or Admin)
  3. Click "Add" to create the user
🚧

Note: Fuel iX uses a passwordless system. New users receive a magic link via email to log in.

  • To manage:
    1. Find the user in the list
    2. Click the "..." menu
    3. Select "Enable API Key" or "Disable API Key"

User Actions

  • Edit user: Modify user settings
  • Enable/Disable API Key: Manage API access
  • Delete user: Remove user from the organization (requires confirmation)
📘

Best Practices

  • Regularly review user list for any unused or outdated accounts
  • Use descriptive display names for easy identification
  • Carefully manage API key distribution for security
  • Set appropriate budgets and model access based on user needs
  • Ensure invited users have accepted their invitations

Limitations

  • No bulk user import feature available
  • User impersonation for troubleshooting is not supported
  • Detailed audit logs for user management actions are not currently exposed

Troubleshooting

  • If a user can't log in, check their status (Active vs. Invited)
  • For model access issues, verify the user's individual model settings
  • If API access is not working, confirm the API key is enabled for the user
