Default copilot
This page explains how Fuel iX determines which copilot you land on when you log in, and how to set your own personal default.
What is the default copilot?
The default copilot is the copilot that opens automatically when you log in to Fuel iX Copilots. Which copilot that is depends on three layers, applied in order:
- Your personal default — if you've set one, you always land here.
- Your organization's default — if your org has configured a default copilot, that's what you see unless you've set a personal default.
- Fuel iX Copilot — the platform's general-purpose assistant, and the fallback if neither of the above is set.
Setting your personal default
You can set any copilot you have access to as your personal default. Your choice overrides the org default and persists across sessions.
To set a personal default:
- Find the copilot in your sidebar.
- Click the three-dot menu on its card.
- Select Set as my default.
Your default copilot is marked with a heart icon and pinned to the top of My copilots. To change or remove it, open the same menu and select Remove as my default.
If your personal default is ever deleted or becomes unavailable, you'll fall back to the org default and a notification will let you know.
Organization defaults
Your organization can configure a default copilot that all users land on. This is typically a purpose-built Official copilot suited to your team's workflows. Your personal default, if set, takes precedence over it.
